Microsoft Teams Telephony

Call with Microsoft Teams – with numbers, SIP and SBC properly integrated.

We connect Microsoft Teams to external telephony, existing numbers and SIP infrastructure. Microsoft 365, the SBC, routing and migration are treated as one technical task.

Teams becomes the telephony platform

With SBC-based Direct Routing, a Session Border Controller connects the Microsoft Teams environment to SIP trunks, public numbers and, where required, an existing PBX. This is more than an additional licence: several technical layers have to be planned and tested together.

Teams Calling

Inbound and outbound external calls directly in the Teams client for appropriately configured users.

SBC & Direct Routing

Design and configuration of the SBC-based connection between Microsoft 365 and the SIP/voice infrastructure.

Numbers & SIP

Provisioning or porting suitable numbers and connecting them to SIP trunks and routing concepts.

Migration & coexistence

Phased migration, parallel operation or integration of existing PBXs, devices and numbering logic where this remains useful.

A clear technical path

Check the Microsoft 365 basis

Tenant, users, domains, licences and the intended division of responsibilities are clarified.

Define the voice design

Numbers, SIP trunks, SBC, routing, reachability and existing telephony are brought together.

Test and migrate

Test users, inbound and outbound calls, caller ID and the cutover sequence are verified before the wider rollout.

Teams or conventional SIP telephony?

Customers who want to keep an existing PBX or standard SIP devices can start with SIP telephony and numbers. This Teams page is for environments where Microsoft Teams should become the user interface for calling.

Microsoft 365 and telephony remain two understandable entry points.
